Tara Young

Tara Young is General Counsel at Spearmint Energy and is a seasoned attorney with 20 years of experience including a decade in the utility and renewable energy industry. Before joining Spearmint she held senior legal positions with NV Energy, Berkshire Hathaway Energy and Plus Power. In these roles, she developed projects in 25 states with total capacity of 8GW. Tara now partners with Spearmint’s management team to provide strategic legal advice across the business. Outside of work, Tara is passionate about representing children in foster care. She holds a B.A. from Tufts University and a J.D. from the University of Washington.
